About Us Who We are The Gamma Pi Chapter of Loyola University Chicago was founded on September 30, 1950. Since the induction of the Chapter, we have embraced the Fraternity's commitment to leadership, service, and professionalism. Through our various networks, the Gamma Pi Chapter actively embraces the Chicago communities, aiding in the development of both our brothers and Chicagoland as a whole.Active brothers and alumni have gone on to work for prestigious companies such as Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Apple, Discover, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Salesforce, Morningstar, Google, The Chicago Bulls, Morgan Stanley and countless others. What we do We select students within the Quinlan School of Business who seek to enhance their classroom education through association with other students in their field. Prospective members receive an invitation to join and complete an orientation program. Our fraternity sponsors professional programs with tours and speakers in and from the business world, career fairs, and professional development forums and workshops. We create a model business in each chapter patterned after the best organizations in the business world, thus providing actual working experience for our members. Also, we promote scholarship through the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key (awarded to the graduating senior in business administration ranking highest in his or her class). Professionalism For more than 100 years, Delta Sigma Pi has encouraged, supported, and shaped the professional goals and personal aspirations of thousands of members.Delta Sigma Pi gives its members a venue to develop skills they will need in the business world and throughout their personal lives. These skills include communication, public speaking, time management, and teamwork. Our professional events allow members to network with reputable companies while in search of internship and job opportunities. Each semester, Delta Sigma Pi hosts several presentations that aid the professional development of our members. Corporate representatives speak on a variety of topics for all majors, including what their recruiters look for in a candidate and what their company has to offer. Community Service Delta Sigma Pi is dedicated to making a difference, because business has both a unique opportunity and a compelling duty to contribute to the larger community. Frequent involvement in the community instills deep feelings of brotherhood while simultaneously developing critical business acumen.Members of the fraternity also have the opportunity to give back to the Chicago community through volunteer work. They have the chance to help those in need and make a difference in the lives of others. Delta Sigma Pi takes seriously its commitment to making a lasting contribution to the Chicago community. We work alongside our national philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House, each year. Also, in recent semesters, we have teamed with various non-profit organizations like the Anti-Cruelty Society and Touched By An Animal. Together, we have earned university, regional, and national recognition for our community service efforts. Social Events Delta Sigma Pi facilitates social activity among students, the community, and business organizations. The network of members around the world provides a wealth of business resources, professional contacts, continuing education opportunities, and community support to even the newest business graduate. While improving professional skills and giving back to the community, members make the most of their college years through DSP’s social activity. During pledgeship, brothers build bonds with one another that provide them with a robust support system and lifelong friends. We partake in a wide variety of social events, ranging from formal dances to Halloween bashes to Superbowl potlucks. Our pledge program plants the seeds that, throughout a member’s college career, grow into friendships that last a lifetime. Delta Sigma Pi’s members boast a closeness that cannot be found in any other campus organization.
